Yesterday's SAQA Regional "Untethered Thread" exhibit opening reception proved to be a fun afternoon. The morning began with unexpected rain showers on the drive south with my friend Sally Wright, who also had work in the exhibit. By lunch time we were enjoying the sunshine in my sister's garden before we all headed to the exhibit. The Poway Center for the Performing Arts' double level lobby is a wonderful expansive light-filled environment, and makes a great venue to view art. The reception was well attended with exhibiting artists and friends. Always good to run into old friends and meet new ones.
