The "sketches" continue... as I wrote in my previous post, these pieces are helping to warm up the art making juices.  I like what is developing, especially in Sketch 4, with the color and simple shapes.  I am really enjoying the process now...

Take a look at the earlier ones here.

Sketch 4, Linda A. Miller

Some reading art links for you.  Rebecca Mezoff' is a tapestry artist I follow.  She wrote an interesting post responding to the frequent question "How long did that take you to make?"  Sound familiar?  I encourage you to take a look at her blog, it might bring a chuckle.  And Pam Holland wrote a wonderful article on using digital technology for art making.

Linking to Off the Wall Fridays.  Lots to see there, please visit!

  1. Yes, I can see your progression here. This one is the best so far for me although they are all good. I think I'm drawn to the strong contrast and that lovely swoop of black. Yum!

  2. Thanks for sharing the article, Linda...and I continue to enjoy your fabric/stitch sketches. Lovely!

  3. This one is so peacefully balanced. And the green near the bottom connects it to the Earth.

I welcome your comments!
