Spring at the Huntington

A blustery midweek day in San Marino...yet spring was evident with blooming trees everywhere.  I don't believe I have seen these lovely early blooms at the Huntington Gardens before.  Spectacular!  The Chinese Garden has two new pavilions onsite since our visit last summer, with more expansion progressing rapidly.  This beautiful contemplative area has become my favorite to visit.  My friends and I appreciated the quiet beauty of the area.

As for indoor activity, there are many galleries of art to explore.  A featured sculpture is the exquisite 18th Century marble bust of Madame de Vermenoux by Jean-Antoine Houdon.

It was a lovely day!
