LACMA Exhibits

Now showing at LACMA is a very intriguing multimedia exhibit by Sharon Lockhart on the achievements of Israeli dance composer and textile artist Noa Eshkol.  I had not been familiar with with either woman prior to seeing this exhibit.  Eshkol's "carpets" are fantastic expressions in color and movement.  Read more about her innovative dance and movement notation.  Fascinating!

Also at LACMA is a fine exhibit of Mola textiles called "Stitching Worlds:  Mola Art of the Kuna", with some intricate pieces that are just amazing.  This exhibit runs until October 13.
