Art Intensive

I have been slowly coming back to my daily life from being in retreat mode with last week's art intensive.  It was an amazing 5 days incorporating meditation and lot of creative play...what could be better than meditation in action?   This week...lightness!
The group of 22 students came from varied backgrounds and experiences...some with no meditation experience and some long time practitioners....some full time artists, some not.  It was great to meet and to play with them all.

Marcia Shibata discusses her Kado process.

One of the teachers, Marcia Shibata,  is a Kado/Ikebana master.  She did several demos during the intensive that were a dance of creative flow.  So beautiful to experience the creation of the arrangements!  Click the link above to learn more and to watch some of her previous demos.

"Genuine inspiration is not particularly dramatic.  It's very ordinary.
It comes from settling down in your environment and accepting situations as natural."
-Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche (excerpt from True Perception)

All I can say is that the five days were challenging and rejuvenating...try it for yourself!

Group offerings on the last day.
