The International Fiber Collaborative's gas station is wrapped! This is amazing to see in the photos. I would love to have been there in person. Check out http://www.internationalfibercollaborative.com/ for more photos. I am proud to be a part of this project. My panel is shown on the back side, 3rd row up from the bottom.

I took a fabulous fabric dyeing and painting workshop last week with Brian Dykhuizen at my local quilt shop, Sewing Arts in Santa Monica. I had been experimenting with some dyeing, however Brian helped clarify the process immensely and make it a lot of creative fun. I am ready to do more now! Brian also has a very unique style with his art quilts. To see more, check out his website: http://www.briandykhuizen.com/

Here are some sketches, on paper or fabric. Using the lexicon, my personal artistic vocabulary, can help me reconnect to making art especially when the ideas are not clearly formed yet. I can work fast and not over think things...get right to heart of creative flow.

The Bhavana Project flags have returned from being with the latest participants, Janice and Dale Garber, in Georgia. Their theme of celebrating being "together" is a super addition to this growing set. The next flag has been added and the set is again in route to the next artist. This is, as always, a wonderful process to be a part of!

The Linda Miller Designs website is up on the Internet! Go to "Link to my Website" to see it! Creating it was an absorbing creative and technical process. I was reminded that change plays a major role, for unlike publishing a book, elements on the site or the blog can be changed instantly! Nothing has to be set in stone.
The attached photo is a playful sun that uses embroidery, applique and thread work.
