International Quilt Festival

The International Quilt Festival in Long Beach was spectacular! What a feast for the the eyes to see the amazing work created by so many hands...from the SAQA exhibits of "A Sense of Place" and "Creative Force" to the many journal pages to so much more. I felt so inspired and awed by the works and the artists. It was a pleasure to volunteer at the SAQA booth to meet some fellow members and share information with others. For more info:

Quilt and Flags Summer Happenings

There is lots of activity... I have donated "Solstice" , shown here, to the SAQA (Studio Arts Quilt Associates) Auction 2008 - One Foot Square. See it online and find out about the auction:

The International Fiber Collaborative W.R.A.P. has been getting lots of press, such as Washington Post, USA Today and CBS News. Go to to see what has been going on. There will be more projects to come in the future.
The first set of Bhavana Project flags have left Seattle and will be on exhibit in Santa Fe at the Vedic Chant Center through mid August. As always I am thrilled to have them out in the community to be appreciated by others. See:
